Our History

My career began in 2017 when I stepped into the world of facilities management with one of the UK’s leading FM providers. Based in London, I worked as a helpdesk operator — the central hub of operations. Taking calls, allocating tasks, and supporting every area of the FM team gave me an invaluable foundation in service delivery and a deep understanding of how great facilities support great businesses.

My curiosity and drive led me into the Moves & Changes team, where I managed large-scale office relocations and refurbishment projects. After completing my PRINCE2 Practitioner qualification in 2009, I progressed to Moves and Changes Manager, leading a talented team of project managers and delivering multi-million-pound refurbishment projects across high-end buildings in London.

I was later selected for a Management & Leadership Development Programme, where I achieved a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management—an experience that strengthened my passion for people development.

Over the next five years, I moved through roles including Facilities Manager, Operations Manager, and eventually Account Manager, where I oversaw eight locations across the city and led full multi-disciplinary teams. Throughout my FM career, I had the privilege of managing and mentoring professionals across cleaning, security, engineering, and project disciplines.

People management came naturally to me. My approachable, adaptable style helped me connect with my teams on an individual level, often building relationships that still exist today.

Despite being highly career-driven, life took a beautiful turn when my husband and I decided to start a family. I made the conscious decision to step back from the high-profile roles I had worked so hard to build, choosing instead to be a present and loving parent to our two children.

As they grew older and more independent, I stepped back into the working world with a part-time role at a London-based security company — a role that quickly evolved when COVID hit. What began as a small step back into employment soon became a full-time position as Compliance Manager… and the unexpected beginning of my compliance career.

After years of operational management, stepping into governance felt like the perfect fit. The world of standards and regulations became second nature — from ISO frameworks to SIA and the Approved Contractor Scheme, COP 119 and SSIP requirements, and everything in between.

As time went on, I saw brilliant business owners miss out on opportunities simply because compliance felt complicated, overwhelming, or time-consuming. I knew it didn’t have to be that way.
